RAMALLAH, April 4, 2018 (WAFA) - The overall Industrial Production Index (IPI) in Palestine dropped by 1.03% in February compared to the previous month, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said on Wednesday.

The drop in February IPI was due to the decrease in the activities of Electricity, Gas, Steam and Air Conditioning Supply by 20.05%, which had a share of 11.98% of the total industry, and the activities of Mining and Quarrying by 18.41%, which had a share of 4.06% of the total industry.

Meanwhile, the activities of Manufacturing Industry increased by 2.06%, which had a share of 83.19% of the total industry, and the activities of Water Supply, Sewerage, Waste Management and Remediation also increased by 1.32%, which had a share of 0.78% of the total industry.
