RAMALLAH, March 30, 2018 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas reiterated his calls on Friday for international protection to the people of Palestine, in the aftermath of Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip in which 15 Palestinians were shot dead and thousands injured.

“This [high] number of martyrs and wounded during non-violent popular demonstrations, underlines the need for the intervention of the international community to provide protection to our defenseless Palestinian people,” the President said in a statement.

Earlier the day, announced that next Saturday will be a national day of mourning in honor of the 15 Palestinians who were killed by the Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip on Friday.
