JERUSALEM, March 21, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli forces raided on Wednesday Shufat refugee camp, north of Jerusalem, and detained 20 Palestinians, including minors, according to the camp’s Fatah activist Thaer Fasfous.
He said that a large force raided the camp in the pre-dawn hours and broke into a number of homes, terrorizing women and children who were awaken at the sound of the forces breaking into their homes. The forces ransacked homes causing damage to furniture before leaving the camp after rounding up the 20 residents.
According to a statistic by Prisoners Support and Human Rights Association, the total number of Palestinian political prisoners in Israel as of February 2018 is 6119, with 500 of them being from East Jerusalem, 330 minors and 61 females.
