RAMALLAH, January 22, 2018 (WAFA) – Palestine is going to participate in the upcoming World Economic Forum in Davos, which will launch its four-day meetings on Tuesday, Minister of Economy Abeer Odeh, who will represent Palestine in the meeting, announced on Monday.
She said that the Palestinian participation in this forum is an important opportunity to explain to over 3000 participants from all over the world attending the conference the current economic situation and the future challenges facing the Palestinian economy in light of Israeli policies that obstruct development of the national economy.
Odeh stressed the importance of the international partners supporting efforts of the Palestinian government to build an independent economy and end dependence on the Israeli occupation, as well as the importance of empowering the Palestinian economy through the implementation of the relevant international resolutions, especially those that talks about protection of the natural resources.
