RAMALLAH, January 22, 2018 (WAFA) – Exports increased in November by 7.5% compared to October and also increased by 3.7% compared to November 2016 and reached $93 million, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said on Monday.
Exports to Israel slightly increased by 0.5% compared to October and represented 82.6% of total November exports.
At the same time, exports to other countries increased by 60.4% during the same period compared. PCBS said the increase was mainly due to the increase of exports of olive oil.
Imports decreased in November by 4.1% compared to October. It also decreased by 7.6% compared to November 2016 and reached $441.4 million.
Imports from Israel slightly increased by 0.3% in November compared to October and represented 59.1% of total imports in November.
On the other hand, imports from other countries decreased by 9.8% compared to October.
Meanwhile, the trade balance which represents the difference between exports and imports showed a decrease in trade deficit by 6.8% in November compared to October. It also decreased by 10.2% compared to November 2016 and reached $348.4 million.
