RAMALLAH, January 18, 2018 (WAFA) – Weather on Thursday is partly cloudy to cloudy, relatively chilly and occasionally dusty and breezy as temperatures are set to rise and approach the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Scattered rains are set to drop in morning hours paving the way to considerably cloudy skies bringing torrential rains with occasional hail, thunderstorms and gust.
Wind is southwesterly to northwesterly, active with occasional gusts. Sea waves are high.
Temperature in Jerusalem is set to reach a high of 14°C and a low of 4°C and in Ramallah a high of 13°C and a low of 3°C. In Jericho and the Jordan Valley, temperature is set to reach a high of 22°C and a low of 10°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 19°C and a low of 9°C in Gaza.
PMD expects considerably cloudy and chilly skies to prevail on Friday with a significant drop in temperature. Torrential early showers are anticipated with thunderstorms and occasional hail with a chance of snow flurries on mountains over 1,000 meters above sea level.
Partly cloudy and chilly conditions are anticipated for Saturday with a chance of rain showers. Temperature is set to rise while remaining lower the seasonal average.
PMD warns citizens on Thursday and Friday against gusts of 100 km/h, low visibility due to fog formation, floods in low areas, low clouds and slippery roads because of hail, snow flurries and rain.
