Israeli forces confiscate burnt out car east of Jenin

JENIN, January 16, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Tuesday confiscated a burnt out car left abandoned near the Arab American University to the east of the city of Jenin, in the northern West Bank, said sources.

Dozens of soldiers reportedly raided and searched the area before confiscating the burnt car.

Israeli forces have intensified their military activity; including wide-scale raids and arrests, in the northern part of the West Bank following the fatal shooting of an Israeli settler outside the illegal Israeli outpost of Havat Gilad, located near Nablus, on January 10. The perpetrator of the attack remains unknown.

There is speculation that the confiscation of the car is believed connected to the fatal shooting of the settler.

A main road near the illegal settlement of Yitzhar, just outside Nablus, has been closed by Israeli forces since the attack forcing Palestinian commuters to take alternative detours through neighboring villages to reach their work places or homes.
