RAMALLAH, January 14, 2018 (WAFA) - The overall Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the Palestinian Territory decreased in December 2017 by 0.41% compared to the previous month, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said Sunday.
It said CPI decreased by 0.43% in the West Bank, and by 0.44% in the Gaza Strip, while it slightly increased by 0.07% in Jerusalem.
December‘s CPI slightly decreased by 0.02% in 2017 when compared to December 2016, said PCBS.
Meanwhile, CPI slightly increased during 2017 by 0.21% compared with 2016; it increased by 0.11% in the Gaza Strip, and by 2.18% in Jerusalem, while it slightly decreased by 0.01% in the West Bank.
The change in CPI was traced back to changes in prices of the following expenditure major and sub groups compared with the previous year:
