Palestinians clash with Israeli forces in several East Jerusalem neighborhoods

JERUSALEM, December 28, 2017 (WAFA) – Palestinians clashed with Israeli forces in several East Jerusalem neighborhoods late Wednesday and early Thursday, according to Palestinian reports.

Clashes were reported in Anata, northeast of Jerusalem, following an army raid of the neighborhood.

Youths blocked roads and threw rocks at the invading force, which fired dozens of tear gas canisters at homes and in the streets to push back the youths causing suffering from gas inhalation.

Confrontations were also reported in Issawiyeh, Abu Dis and Izzariyeh, east of Jerusalem, as well as al-Ram, north of the occupied city.

In Silwan, youths attacked an Israeli border guard patrol and settlers with petrol bombs, setting a police vehicle on fire, said WAFA correspondent.

A large police force raided the neighborhood and fired tear gas grenades at random causing suffocation cases. Youths also clashed with the raiding forces.

No arrests or injuries were reported in any of the areas.
