JERUSALEM, December 24, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli authorities Sunday released the four Turkish tourists who were detained outside al-Aqsa Mosque on Friday under strict conditions, reported WAFA correspondent.
The Turkish tourists were released under the condition that they will be banned from entering the city of Jerusalem for 20 days, and pay a fine of NIS 1000 each ($287).
An argument reportedly took place between Israeli police and a group of Turkish tourists outside one of the gates of al-Aqsa Mosque compound on Friday, which resulted in a scuffle after police, searched the tourists and prevented them from entering the compound because of their Turkish-flagged uniform.
Israeli police physically assualted the group before detaining four of them.
