JERUSALEM, December 21, 2017 (WAFA) - The Israeli military court Thursday sentenced six Palestinian men from Jerusalem to prison for being part of a youth group that aims to support Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The six men who were imprisoned for being part of the group, Youth of Al Aqsa Mosque, are Izz Al-Din Abu Isbeih (for 12 months), Sbeih Abu Isbeih (8 months), Mahmoud Abdul Latif (15 months), Rami Fakhouri (11 months), Mohammed al-Zagheir (19 months) and Ihab al-Hadra (14 months).
Meanwhile, the Israeli court sentenced Majd al-Awar, a 17-year-old to house arrest for two weeks and a 1000 shekels fine.
Israel also decided to ban the director of the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) in Jerusalem Naser Qaws from entering the city for 14 days.
Israeli intelligence summoned Qaws for interrogation before informing him of the order under the pretext of “organizing and taking part in protests in Jerusalem.”
