NEW YORK, December 18, 2017 (WAFA) - France‘s representative to the United Nations Security Council François Delattre said his country rejects unilateral decisions and will vote in favor of the draft resolution rejecting recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
In a press statement before the start of a special session of the UN Security Council to vote on a draft resolution on Jerusalem, the French delegate said that the two-state solution is the best way to end the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
He added that the Egyptian proposal to vote on a draft resolution to annul the US decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and move the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem came in good and serves the desired goal.
