Fatah official says leadership to seek UN action on Jerusalem

RAMALLAH, December 18, 2017 (WAFA) – Deputy chairman of Fatah movement, Mahmoud al-Aloul, said on Sunday evening that the Palestinian leadership will seek action in the United Nations Security Council and the International Criminal Court in order to annul US President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

Speaking in an interview with Palestine TV, he said the leadership will reconsider all its relations with Israel and will continue its pursuit of national unity.

Aloul said an expected meeting of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO)’s Central Council will take important decisions regarding the question of Jerusalem.

Aloul was speaking during a unified broadcast by Arab TV channels and radio stations in support of Jerusalem following US move to recognize the holy city as Israel’s capital.
