HEBRON, December 17, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Sunday fired teargas canisters inside the Palestine Technical University campus in the town of al-Arroub, to the north of Hebron, according to local sources.
Clashes erupted for the second week between students and Israeli soldiers outside the university. The army used teargas canisters to disperse the students, causing multiple cases of suffocation as a result of teargas inhalation.
Clashes have been renewing sporadically in and around the university campus, as well as in other locations in the occupied Palestinian territories, in the aftermath of US President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital early this month.
