JERUSALEM/HEBRON, December 16, 2017 (WAFA) – Palestinians in the Hebron-area town of Beit Ula and in Jerusalem’s Anata village laid to rest on Saturday two residents shot dead by Israeli soldiers the day before.
In Beit Ula, people buried Mohammad Aqel who was shot and killed at Ramallah’s northern entrance known as the DCO after he allegedly stabbed one of the soldiers.
In Anata, Basel Ibrahim was buried in the town’s cemetery. He was shot in the chest and killed during confrontations between residents and Israeli soldiers.
Aqel and Ibrahim were among four Palestinians killed on Friday by Israeli soldiers, the other two were in the Gaza Strip. Hundreds were also injured in the West Bank and Gaza in the Israeli army crackdown on the protests that raged against US recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital on December 6.
