RAMALLAH, May 15, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Monday detained at least seven Palestinians, including a former minister, in multiple overnight raids across the West Bank, said Palestinian security sources and an activist.
Muhammad Awad, an activist, told WAFA Israeli forces detained a Palestinian and ransacked a number of homes during a raid into Beit Ummar town, north of Hebron, in the southern West Bank.
Forces also conducted similar raids across Hebron city, detaining two Palestinians, including former minister Issa Ja‘bari.
Elsewhere in the southern West Bank, two Palestinians were detained during a raid into Nahalin village, west of Bethlehem.
This came as Israeli police detained two minor brothers during clashes in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Silwan.
Violent clashes reportedly erupted between Palestinian residents and police who indiscriminately fired concussion grenades and tear gas canisters at homes, causing dozens suffocation cases.
