Israeli occupation orders halt on renovation of home in Hebron

HEBRON, March 19, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces ordered on Sunday a halt on the renovation of a Palestinian-owned home in al-Baqaa area, east of the city of Hebron in the occupied West Bank, local sources said.

WAFA correspondent said that IOF forces, along with staff from the so-called Israeli Civil Administration, handed Hani Jaber, a Palestinian from al-Baqaa, a final notice to stop the renovation of his 130 square meter house, under the pretext that the area on which the house is being built is located in Area C, under complete Israeli control.

Jaber said his nine-member family and he had been living in the said house since the 1970s.

Last week, Israeli authorities ordered a halt on the construction of two Palestinian homes in the town of al-Khader, south of the city of Bethlehem.
