Palestinian novelist Khaleda Ghosheh.
JERUSALEM, March 11, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli police Saturday detained Palestinian author Khaleda Ghosheh, according to WAFA correspondent in the occupied city.
He said Israeli police detained Ghosheh, 44, at her home in Jerusalem and took her in for interrogation.
While reason for the arrest was not immediately known, it is believed to be related to her recently released Arabic novel, Masyadat Ibn Awa (Jackal’s Trap), which talks about collaborators with Israel.
Ghosheh is a Palestinian author born in Shufat neighborhood of East Jerusalem. She released several Arabic novels during her 26-year career as writer including her novel Al-Khayt al-Abyad (the White Thread), released last year, and Khafaya al-Hayat (The Secrets of Life), in two parts, among several others.
