Israeli forces detain four Palestinians from West Bank

HEBRON, February 24, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Friday detained four Palestinians, mostly during predawn raids across the West Bank, said security sources.

Israeli forces raided At-Tabaqa village in Dura area, southwest of Hebron city, detaining two Palestinians.

During the raid, forces stormed and ransacked the home of Badi Dweik, an activist from Human Rights Defenders in Palestine, threatening to detain him since he called for a protest demanding Israeli restrictions on Hebron’s Old City be lifted.

Meanwhile, forces detained a Palestinian and ransacked several homes during an overnight raid into al-Jalazoun refugee camp, north of Ramallah.

The detainee is reportedly a member of the students council of Birzeit University.

This came as Israeli police handcuffed and detained a Palestinian after raiding his workplace inside Israel.

The detainee reportedly comes from Jalqamus village, southeast of Jenin, in the northern West Bank.
