RAMALLAH, February 21, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Tuesday detained 18 Palestinians from several cities in the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) said in a statement.

The PPS said that Israeli forces detained four Palestinians, including a minor, from the camp of al-Am’ary in the city of Ramallah.

Forces also detained two people from the city of Bethlehem, and two other more from the city of Nablus. Israeli police also detained eight Palestinians from the city of Jerusalem.

According to statistics by the Palestinian Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, the total number of Palestinian political prisoners in Israeli prisons is 6,500, with 536 of them being administrative detainees and 510 from Jerusalem.
