RAMALLAH, February 15, 2017 (WAFA) - Weather on Wednesday remains partially cloudy to cloudy and cold to very cold with a drop in temperature approaching six degrees Celsius lower than its seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Rain is expected to fall on most areas with thunderstorms and occasional hail. Wind is southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate, active at times. Sea waves are low.
Cloudy and very chilly skies are expected on Thursday. Another drop in temperature is set to approach eight degrees Celsius lower than its annual average. Rain is expected on most areas with thunderstorms and occasional hail. A chance of snowfall is expected on mountains above 1000 meters above sea level, while a chance of light snow is expected on mountains over 900 above sea levels.
Partially cloudy to clear and very chilly skies are set to prevail on Friday with rain showers and occasional thunderstorms and hail. Temperatures are set to rise by three degrees Celsius.
Weather on Saturday is clear and very cold to cold. A rise in temperature while remaining three degrees Celsius lower than its annual average is expected.
The PMD warned citizens against low horizontal visibility due to fog and low clouds and the formation of floods in low areas as well as gusty winds.
