RAMALLAH, February 14, 2017 (WAFA) - Consumer Price Index (CPI) went up in January by 0.14 per cent compared with December, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said on Tuesday.
CPI increased by 1.02 per cent Jerusalem, by 0.38 per cent in Gaza Strip and by 0.03 per cent in the West Bank, it said.
However, overall CPI decreased by 0.26 per cent in January when compared with January 2016 prices.
The decrease was by 0.93 per cent in Gaza Strip and by 0.05 per cent in the West Bank, while it increased by 3.17 per cent in Jerusalem.
The changes in CPI for January compared with the previous month are traced back to changes in prices of the following expenditure sub groups:
