Israel demolishes house under construction in East Jerusalem

JERUSALEM, February 14, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli bulldozers Tuesday demolished a house in the town of al-Issawiya, north of east Jerusalem, according to local sources.

The house, which was still under construction, was demolished under the pretext the owners did not have a building permit.

Israeli bulldozers accompanied by police demolished the house, as ordered by the Israeli municipality in Jerusalem.

Last week, Israeli bulldozers demolished a Palestinian residential building in the neighborhood of Beit Hanina in East Jerusalem.

For Palestinians in East Jerusalem it is almost impossible to get a permit to build structures as Israel restrains the growth of the Palestinian population in the city while approving more housing units in Jewish settlements.
