Weather forecast: Drop in temperature, low pressure prevails

RAMALLAH, February 13, 2017 (WAFA) – Weather on Monday is cloudy and cold, with a drop in temperature approaching four degrees Celsius lower than its seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Rains are expected to fall in the afternoon and nighttime with occasional thunderstorms and hail. Wind is southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate, active at times while sea waves are low.

Partially cloudy to cloudy and mostly chilly skies are set to prevail on Tuesday and temperatures are set to further drop and approach five degrees Celsius lower than the seasonal average. Rain showers with thunderstorms and occasional hail are expected on most areas.

Weather on Wednesday remains partially cloudy to cloudy and mostly chilly. Temperature is expected to further drop and approach six degrees Celsius lower than its seasonal average. Rain is also expected to fall on most areas with thunderstorms and occasional hail.

Cloudy and very chilly skies are set to prevail on Thursday. Another drop in temperature is set to approach eight degrees Celsius lower than its seasonal average. Rain is expected on most areas with thunderstorms and occasional hail.

The PMD warned citizens against low horizontal visibility due to fog and low clouds and the formation of floods in low areas as well as gusty winds.
