NABLUS, February 10, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Friday stormed the family home of a Palestinian suspected of perpetrating the Petah Tekva attack during a predawn raid into Beita and Ousrin towns, south of Nablus, said locals.
Large forces raided Beita town just few hours following the shooting and stabbing attack that has left six Israelis injured in the central Israeli town of Petah Tekva.
Israeli troops stormed the family home of 19-year-old Sadiq Aweida, suspected of perpetrating the attack, interrogating his family members for several hours and reportedly confiscating their Israeli work permits.
They also stormed the family homes of Radi al-Jaghoub, 19, and Adham Adeili, 19, detaining them purportedly for being Aweida’s friends.
Separately, troops raided the nearby town of Ousrin, handcuffing and detaining Samer Adeili, 24, purportedly in connection with the attack.
They reportedly seized Adeili’s vehicle purportedly for transferring Aweida from his hometown of Beita to Azzoun before he headed to Petah Tekva and carried out the attack.
Aweida’s father, Nasser, was reportedly handcuffed and detained by Israeli police just a few minutes after the attack.
In Jenin district, forces raided Fahma village, south of the city, detaining a Palestinian.
