RAMALLAH, February 7, 2017 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah discussed on Tuesday with his Belgium counterpart Charles Michel in Ramallah the latest in the Middle East political scene, particularly Israeli violations and settlement activities.
Hamdallah stressed in the meeting that Israel’s “legalization” of settlements and its land grab “is additional evidence that Israel persists in destroying the two-state solution while moving toward the one state, two systems solution,” according to a statement by Hamdallah’s office.
The prime minister said Israel’s settlement expansion destroys all efforts to bring the peace process back on the right track.
Michel later laid a wreath at the grave of the late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat in Ramallah.
