Israeli settlers provocatively tour al-Aqsa Mosque yard under police protection

JERUSALEM, February 5, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli settlers Sunday broke into al-Aqsa Mosque yard in East Jerusalem under the protection of Israeli police, local sources said.

Divided into small groups, settlers entered al-Aqsa Mosque yard via al-Magharba gate and provocatively toured around in the yard, which is considered a holy site for Muslims.

Muslim worshipers present at the site chanted religious slogans to protest the settlers’ entry.

Jewish settlers carry out raids into al-Aqsa Mosque regularly following Israel’s latest plans of expanding settlements in the occupied West Bank.
