Israeli army opens fire at Gaza farmers, pushes them out of their land

GAZA, February 4, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli troops stationed at watch towers along the borders with the Gaza Strip opened fire on Saturday at Palestinian farmers working on their land near the border fence, according to local witnesses.

They said the soldiers fired a round of bullets at the farmers forcing them to leave the area. No one was hurt.

Gaza farmers say the soldiers prevent them from working on their land near the fence, which Israel had unilaterally declared as a buffer zone off to Palestinians stretching more than 300 meters inside the already narrow Gaza Strip.
