Israeli forces detain four Palestinians, summon six others from West Bank

RAMALLAH, February 3, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Friday detained four Palestinians and summoned six others, mostly during predawn raids across the West Bank, said security sources and Palestine Prisoner’s Society.

Israeli police detained two Palestinians after storming their homes at Silwan town in East Jerusalem.

Separately, police handcuffed and detained a Palestinian on route to the Augusta Victoria Hospital in Jerusalem.

The man reportedly obtained an entry permit to accompany his ailing mother, who had an appointment at the hospital.

In Bethlehem district, Israeli forces summoned six Palestinian youths after storming and ransacking their families homes during a raid into Tuqu town, east of the city.

The youths were handed notices ordering them to appear before Israeli intelligence in the Gush Etzion interrogation and detention center.

Meanwhile, a Palestinian man was detained after being stopped at Salem military checkpoint, west of Jenin.

The detainee reportedly comes from Shweika neighborhood, north of Tulkarem.
