RAMALLAH, February 1, 2017 (WAFA) – Issa Qaraqe, head of the Palestinian Detainees and Ex-Detainees Committee, said Wednesday the Israeli prison service has collectively punished Palestinian prisoners detained in the Israeli prison Nafha.
Qaraqe told WAFA that the Israeli prison service announced several punishment measures against Nafha prisoners after one prisoner allegedly stabbed an Israeli prison guard.
Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) said the situation in Nafha prison has become more intense. The prisoner stabbed a prison guard as a reaction to the repeated inspections and humiliating treatment Palestinian prisoners receive in the Israeli prisons.
