JENIN, January 31, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli military court at the Salem military camp Tuesday sentenced a 16-year old Palestinian girl to 18 months in prison for alleged attempted stabbing, according to security sources.
Amal Jamal Qabha, from the village of Tura, southwest to the city of Jenin, in the occupied West Bank, was also fined $5,300.
Qabha’s parents told WAFA the military court sentenced their daughter to prison and fined her under security charges. They confirmed that she is currently being held in HaSharon prison in central Israel.
Israeli forces detained Qabha at a military checkpoint near her village in August 2016 for allegedly attempting to stab an Israeli soldier.
