Israeli forces abduct boy from family’s tent south of Nablus

NABLUS, January 25, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli soldiers late Tuesday night abducted a Palestinian boy from his family’s tent in an area adjacent to ‘Aqraba, a town to the south of Nablus, and physically assaulted him, according to a local activist.

Head of the anti-settlement popular committee in ‘Aqraba, Yousef Diriyeh told WAFA Israeli soldiers snuck into a residential tent belonging to Ghalab Mayadmeh and abducted his 17-year-old son Udai.

The father, Ghalab, said he notified the Israeli army about his son‘s disappearance, and after an hour of searching, it turned out that two soldiers abducted him, severally beat him up, and tore off his clothes.

Israeli forces have been conducting live-fire military drills in the mentioned area since early Tuesday.

Ghalab said such measures are aimed at emptying the area from its indigenous Palestinian population.

Israeli forces attempt to make life difficult for Palestinian locals in order to force them to leave, in an apparent prelude to take over the area.
