RAMALLAH, January 22, 2017 (WAFA) – The Palestinian government warned on Sunday about Israel’s potential annexation of Palestinian lands which may lead to uncontrollable consequences.

Government’s spokesman Yousef al-Mahmoud said in a statement that Israel will be fully responsible for any such step, noting that by potentially annexing settlements illegally constructed on the lands which Israel occupied in 1967, including in East Jerusalem, Israel is annexing Palestinian lands that have been occupied by force and is violating all red lines and international resolutions.

He said all countries have recognized the right of the Palestinian people to have a state of their own with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the lands occupied by Israel since 1967.
