Israeli soldiers raid Qalandia refugee camp, clash with residents

JERUSALEM, January 18, 2017 (WAFA) – At least six Palestinians were injured on Wednesday during clashes with Israeli forces in Qalandia refugee camp, north of Jerusalem, according to local sources.

Palestinians threw rocks and Molotov bombs at the Israeli forces, who broke into the camp during the early pre-dawn hours to demolish structures.

Soldiers opened fire and shot tear gas at the stone throwers injuring at least six Palestinian, and prevented Red Crescent ambulances from reaching the area of clashes to evacuate the wounded.

They also prevented fire engines from extinguishing a fire that broke out in a vehicle in the clashes area.

Israeli forces demolished barns and structures used for car washing and other commercial purposes in the camp under the pretext that they were built without a permit.
