Israeli forces demolish structures south of Nablus

NABLUS, January 17, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli forces on Tuesday demolished a residential structure, two animal barns and an agricultural structure in the village of Khirbet al-Tawil, southeast of Nablus in the West Bank, according to local sources.

Ghassan Daghlas, who monitors settlement activities in northern West Bank, told WAFA that Israeli forces accompanied by bulldozers broke into the village and demolished four structures, including a home, and razed part of an agricultural road in the village.

The forces cited construction without a permit as the pretext for the demolitions.

Israel rarely issues construction permits for Palestinians living in area C, which is under full Israeli control, prompting them to build without permit.
