JERUSALEM, January 11, 2017 (WAFA) – The Israeli authorities issued orders to demolish three houses and stop-construction to a fourth in the village of Hizma, northeast of the occupied city of Jerusalem, said Muafaq Khatib, Hizma village council head.
He told WAFA that the homeowners were given only three days to file an objection to the orders.
He said two of the homeowners from the Khatib family have a Palestinian building permit since their homes are located inside Area B, which is under Palestinian administrative rule, and they have been living in these homes for more than six years. The house that received a stop-construction order is also located in Area B, he said.
Khatib said Israeli forces raided several homes in the village in the past two nights and photographed family members claiming they were gathering information.
They also inspected cellular phones of some young people and took down their identification card numbers while focusing on minors above 11 years of age.
