JERUSALEM, January 10, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli minister of interior Aryeh Deri decided to revoke the residency status of the mother of Fadi al-Qunbar, a 28-year-old from East Jerusalem who rammed a truck into a group of Israeli soldiers in Armon HaNetziv settlement in East Jerusalem on Monday.
According to the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, the decision to revoke the residency of Minwa al-Qunbar, the mother of Fadi, will enter into force immediately. Minwa will also be stripped from all social rights as a resident and her family will not be allowed to appeal the decision to the Israeli High Court.
Based on recommendations from the Israel security agency Shabak, Deri also decided to revoke the residency status of 12 of al-Qunbar’s relatives as well as his nephews and uncle.
Israeli police began preparations to demolish al-Qunbar’s house in Jabal al-Mukaber neighborhood, east to Jerusalem.
Fadi al-Qunbar Sunday rammed a truck into a group of Israeli soldiers, killing four of them and leaving 15 injured.
