Israeli forces destroy water pipeline in Tubas district

RAMALLAH, January 10, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli forces destroyed a water pipeline in the Tubas localities of Ras al-Ahmar and al-Hadidiya in the Jordan Valley, said a municipal source.

Head of the Khirbet Atuf village council, Bashar Bani Odeh, said Israeli bulldozers destroyed an 11 kilometer water pipeline that used to transport water from Atuf village to 36 Palestinian families in Ras al-Ahmar and al-Hadidiya.

In May 2016, Israeli forces confiscated a kilometer of pipelines that were supposed to be used for the implementation of a project to develop the water sector in the northern Jordan Valley.

The project was implemented by Action Against Hunger.

It should be noted that while Palestinian communities in the Jordan Valley are deprived from water, Israeli agricultural colonies enjoy abundance of water.

Israeli bulldozers have occasionally destroyed livestock structures and water pipelines, delivered stop-construction notices and seized solar panels used to generate power to local Palestinians in order to forcefully displace them in order to annex it in the future.
