Weather Forecast: Chilly, windy conditions

RAMALLAH, January 9, 2017 (WAFA) – Weather on Monday is partially cloudy to cloudy and very cold with a slight drop in temperatures to be three degrees Celsius lower than its annual average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD.)

A chance of scattered rain showers is expected especially on the northern areas. Winds are southwesterly and moderate to active and occasionally dusty. Sea waves are medium to high.

The PMD also predicted weather on Tuesday to be partially cloud to clear, and cold to very cold with a rise in temperatures setting back to the annual averages. Winds are expected to be southeasterly to easterly light to moderate, active at times, while sea waves are expected to be slight.

Partially cloudy to clear skies with another slight rise in temperatures are expected to prevail on Wednesday. Winds are expected to be northwesterly to northeasterly, light to moderate and sea waves are expected to be slight.

Weather remains partially cloudy on Thursday, with a further rise in temperature to be three degrees Celsius higher than annual average. Winds are northeasterly to northeasterly, light to moderate and sea waves are slight.

The PMD warned people against speedy winds and frost formation in the early morning hours on Tuesday and Wednesday.
