RAMALLAH, January 8, 2017 (WAFA) – Weather on Sunday is partially cloudy and very cold with a significant drop in temperatures, approaching two degrees Celsius below annual average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
A little chance of scattered rain showers is expected during the evening on the northern areas.
Winds are southwesterly moderate to active with strong winds at times. Sea waves are medium to high.
PMD also expected weather on Monday to be partially cloudy to cloudy, cold to very cold with yet another slight drop in temperatures, to become three degrees Celsius below annual average. A chance of sporadic rain is also expected especially on the northern areas. Winds are expected to be southwesterly moderate to active with strong winds at times, while sea waves are expected to be medium high to wavy.
Partially cloudy to clear and cold weather is expected on Tuesday with a rise in temperatures, setting back to their annual average. Winds are southeasterly to easterly light to moderate and sea waves are low.
A rise in temperatures is expected on Wednesday, while the weather remains partially cloudy to clear and cold. Winds are northwesterly to northeasterly light to moderate while sea waves are low.
The PMD warned civilians against low horizontal visibility and the danger of sliding at roads, as there is a risk of frost formation in the early morning hours of Monday and Tuesday.
