RAMALLAH, January 5, 2017 (WAFA) - The Industrial Production Index (IPI) in Palestine decreased by 1.13 per cent in November compared to the previous month, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said on Thursday.

Decline in November IPI was due to a decrease in the activity of electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply by 11.17 per cent, which had a share of 11.98 per cent of the total industry, the activity of mining and quarrying by 1.97 per cent, which had a share of 4.06 per cent of the total industry, and the activity of manufacturing industry by 0.35 per cent, which had a share of 83.19 per cent of the total industry.

Activities of water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation, however, increased by 23.07 per cent, which had a share of 0.78 per cent of the total industry, said the PCBS.
