Palestinian Shot by Israeli Forces Succumbs to Wounds in Hebron

HEBRON, July 19, 2016 (WAFA) – A Palestinian man Tuesday succumbed to  wounds he sustained a day before after being shot and critically injured by Israeli forces following an alleged stabbing attack at the entrance of al-Arrub refugee camp, north of Hebron.

The death of Mustafa Baradiya was reportedly confirmed by Israeli medics in Shaare Zedek Medical Center after he was hospitalized in intensive care.

Baradiya was shot and critically injured by Israel forces on Hebron-Jerusalem Route, also known to Israelis as Route 60, after he allegedly attacked troops, lightly injuring two soldiers.

Baradiya was originally from Surif village, northwest of Hebron. He has been though living and working as a math teacher in the Bethlehem village of Beit Fajjar.

His brother, Ibrahim, 50, was shot and killed by Israeli forces at the entrance of the refugee camp back on April 14 after he allegedly attempted to attack a soldier.

The circumstances around the killing remain unclear and are largely based on the Israeli version of events.
