RAMALLAH, December 30,
2015 (WAFA) – Weather on Wednesday is partially cloudy and relatively cold,
with a slight drop in temperatures, according to the Palestinian Meteorological
Department.
Winds are northwesterly
to southwesterly and moderate. Sea waves are low.
However on Thursday,
temperatures are anticipated to drop as a polar air mass hits the region,
becoming very chilly. Heavy rains, accompanied by hail and occasional
thunderstorms, are expected over different areas.
The region remains
under the effect of the polar front on Friday, with temperatures significantly
dropping and the overall weather conditions becoming extremely cold. Heavy
Sporadic rain showers, accompanied with hail and occasional thunderstorms, are
also expected over different areas.
Snowfall is expected
on areas at 800 meters above sea level.
No significant change
in temperatures is expected on Friday and Saturday, and the polar front
remains over the area, remaining very chilly. Heavy rains and occasional hail
are expected to fall.
The Weather
Department warned of the possibility of flooding in low areas, slippery roads,
strong winds, and low visibility due to expected fog formation on Thursday,
Friday and Saturday.
