RAMALLAH, December 15, 2015 (WAFA) –
The three Palestinian Arabic dailies focused on Tuesday on Israeli police’s
fatal shooting of a Palestinian youth in Jerusalem, after he reportedly rammed
his cars into Israeli pedestrians and injured 14 of them on Monday afternoon.
The dailies said Abdul-Muhsen
Hasssouna, 21, was shot dead by Israeli police after he allegedly rammed his
car into Israeli pedestrians injuring 14.
Al-Hayat al-Jadida focused on remarks
made by President Mahmoud Abbas, in which he stressed that the leadership will
never relinquish any of the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, no
matter how conditions are.
Al-Quds quoted Abbas, who said that
resuming negotiations with the Israeli side requires that Israel abides by
previous deals as a prerequisite.
Al-Ayyam and al-Hayat al-Jadida said
Abbas said that the current Palestinian uprising against the Israeli occupation
was “justified”, saying it manifests Palestinians’ resentment towards ending
the occupation.
Al-Quds said Hamas leader Khaled Meshal
called for escalating the current uprising against the Israeli occupation.
Al-Quds and al-Ayyam said Israeli Prime
Minister Benjamin Netanyahu decided to set up concrete barriers to be placed in
front of about 300 bus stations in Jerusalem as done in the West Bank.
Al-Hayat al-Jadida said a report by
Peace Now, an Israeli human rights watch, unveiled that 95% of Israeli far
right groups’ funding comes from unknown sources.
The three dailies said Abbas considered
a cabinet reshuffle and appointed new ministers for culture, justice, and
social affairs.
Al-Ayyam said a public opinion poll
conducted by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research (PCPSR)
uncovered that the majority of Palestinians are against a two-state solution of
the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
It said Palestinians support the idea
of an armed intifada against the Israeli occupation.
Al-Ayyam said Israeli warplanes
targeted a Hamas military site and a naval police facility in
Gaza with missiles at predawn Monday.
