Israeli Army Fires Live Ammunition at Protesters in Central Gaza

GAZA, November 12, 2015 (WAFA) – The Israeli army Tuesday fired live ammunition and teargas canisters at a group of Palestinian protestors east of Burij refugee camp, causing several cases of suffocation among the youth.

WAFA correspondent said the Israeli army fired live rounds and teargas canisters at youth who gathered near the border fence to protest Israel’s increasing use of violence and extrajudicial killings of mostly Palestinian teens in the West Bank and Gaza.

Friction areas in the Gaza Strip have been witnessing increasing levels of violence since early October of 2015 as a result of Israel’s ongoing attempts to divide al-Aqsa Mosque compound between Muslims and Jews.

At least 117 Palestinians, including 25 children and four women, have been killed by Israeli fire since the beginning of unrest in the West Bank early October 2015.
