RAMALLAH, December 8, 2015 (WAFA) – Member of the Palestinian Liberation Organization's Executive Committee Hanan Ashrawi Tuesday said Israeli Court’s ruling to fine and jail law maker Khalida Jarrar for 15 months is a political crime and a blatant violation of international law and diplomatic impunity.

Ashrawi said in a press release the decision is part of the systematic oppression that Israel practices against the Palestinian people.

The decision, she explained, slaps democracy in the face and violates basic international laws and charters.

Ashrawi called on the international, European and Arab parliaments to immediately intervene to protect their Palestinian counterparts.
