HEBRON,
November 14, 2015 (WAFA) – Israeli forces shot and injured five Palestinians
with live fire in clashes that erupted at the northern entrance of the southern
West Bank city of Hebron, said medical sources.
Clashes erupted between Israeli forces and
Palestinians at the Halhoul Bridge, to the north of Hebron city, where forces
fired live ammunition and tear gas canisters at locals, injuring five with live
rounds.
Four locals sustained injuries after being hit
with live rounds in their lower extremities and another was hit and injured
with a live bullet in the abdomen.
Israeli forces also shot rubber-coated steel
bullets and tear gas canisters at locals and their homes, shooting and injuring
many locals, and causing dozens others to suffocate from excessive tear gas
inhalation.
This came following the funeral procession of local Hassan al-Baw, 22, who was fatally shot by Israeli army soldiers at the aforementioned bridge during clashes that erupted there on Friday.
Earlier Saturday, thousands of Palestinians, including prominent Palestinian figures, participated in the funeral of al-Baw, where they chanted slogans condemning the Israeli crimes committed against the Palestinian people, and calling on the world countries to intervene and stand by the Palestinian people in the face of ongoing Israeli aggression.
