HEBRON,
October 27, 2015 (WAFA) – Israeli forces late Monday and early Tuesday detained
46 Palestinians, including minors, from across the West Bank districts,
including Jerusalem, bringing the total number of Palestinians detained since
the beginning of violent unrest in October 1, 2015, to 1085, according to local
and security sources.
Forces
detained nine Palestinians during a raid and search campaign conducted across the Hebron area.
In
Hebron city, army soldiers detained four Palestinians after raiding and
wreaking havoc into their homes. They were identified as Majd al-Ajloni, 20,
Rani al-Rajabi, 18, Na’im al-Rajabi, 37, and Jalal al-Shwaiki, 23.
Forces
further detained another local, who was identified as Mo’tasem E’bido, from his
workplace in central Hebron.
In
Hebron’s Beit Ummar town to the north, forces detained four Palestinians,
including two ex-detainees and two minors, after raiding and searching several
homes in the area. The detainees were identified as ex-detainees Nabil abu
Mariya, 30, and Mohab Bahr, 21.
Forces
also detained two brothers identified as 17-year-old Mohammed, and 15-year-old
Mo’ayyad Abu Mariya. They further summoned their father, Ayish, 42, and
11-year-old brother, Malik, notices ordering them to appear before the Israeli
intelligence for interrogation.
Local
Ahmad Abu Hashem, 48, was also summoned for interrogation.
Forces
reportedly used tear gas canisters against locals before withdrawing from the
town, however, no injuries were reported.
To
be noted, the total number of Palestinians detained from Beit Ummar town since
the beginning of October, 2015, reached 49, including 22 detainees under the
age of 18.
Meanwhile,
forces raided and searched a commercial building in the town, as well as seized
the surveillance cameras from a bus company in the city.
In
Hebron’s town of Yatta, forces detained Mo’ayyad al-Barawi, 17, as well as
raided, searched, and wreaked havoc into a house belonging to local Khaled
al-Shamasli. However, no further arrests were made.
Furthermore
in Hebron, forces detained two sisters at one of the gates leading to
al-Ibrahimi mosque in Hebron, after severely beating them up as they cried for
help. They were identified as 17-year-old
Jihan, and 21-year-old Nora Erekat. They were both taken to an unknown
destination.
Forces also detained two of the mosque’s guards, for attempting to rescue the aforementioned sisters from the soldiers’ attack. The guards were identified as Salah and Jehad al-Ja’abari.
In Nablus, the army detained three Palestinians from Deit Sharaf area to the west. They were identified as Ameer Faqha’, Ibrahim Nasir, and Ibrahim Nasir. Forces further stormed the nearby town of Bita, where they proceeded to raid several homes, however, no arrests were made.
In
the meantime, forces detained Ahmad M. Amarneh, 22, and Ahmad E. Amarneh, both
from Jenin’s town of Yabod, at a flying military checkpoint set up to the west
of Yabod.
Locals
Qais Al-Sa’adi and Tha’er Jaradat were also detained by the army from Jenin’s
Refugee Camp, after the latter raided and searched several homes in the area,
amid the heavy firing of tear gas canisters and stun grenades, which provoked
clashes with locals.
Also
in Jenin, forces late Monday night detained four Palestinian college students,
all of whom are from Jenin’s village of
al- fandaqumiya, while they were present inside Khadori university’s
campus in Tulkarem. They were identified
as Saif Huwwara, 21, Lo’ay Abbas, 20, ahmad al-Darbi, 20, Mohammed Qararya, 20.
In
Bethlehem, soldiers detained five Palestinians from the Najajreh family after
raiding and searching their families’ homes in the village of Nahalin to the
west. The detainees were identified as Mahmoud F., 19, Ibrahim, 21, Hassan, 21,
Abdel-Rahim, 21, and Mahmoud A, 21.
Forces
also detained Mohammed al-Horoob, 20, at a military checkpoint stationed at the
western entrance of the town of Fajjar to the south of Bethlehem.
Meanwhile
in Jerusalem, Israeli police detained Majd Seyyam from Wadi al-Joz
neighborhood, in addition to Abdel Halim Abu Zeyyad, and Ameer Shtat, from the
town of Izariyyeh to the southeast.
In
the meantime, the army detained eight Palestinians from Ramallah and al-Bireh.
They were identified as Ashraf al-Khalili, Sohaib Rabi’e, Mohammed Sohail,
Ra’afat Eis, Saddam, Yazan, Waleed, and Samih al-Tamimi.
In
Qalqilia, forces detained two brothers from Kafr Thalth area. They were
identified as ex-detainee Khaled and Yousif Odeh.
