RAMALLAH,
September 14, 2014 (WAFA) – The overall Consumer Price Index (CPI) for
Palestine increased during August 2014 by 0.54% compared with July 2014, said
the Palestinian
Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).
It
said while CPI increased by 1.08% in the Gaza Strip and by 0.04% in the West
Bank, it decreased by 0.19% in Jerusalem.
The
CPI during August 2014 increased by 2.40% compared with August 2013 (6.06% in
Gaza Strip, 2.91% in Jerusalem J1*, and 0.82% in the West Bank).
PCBS
said the rise in CPI is due to the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip during
August 2014 compared with the previous month.
