BRUSSELS, November 28, 2025 (WAFA) - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs and Development Cooperation of Belgium, Maxime Prevot, said that violence perpetrated by Israeli colonists against Palestinian civilians in the West Bank has reached its highest level in at least two decades.
In a post on X, he strongly condemned the settler violence and said he was committed to ensuring that the measures adopted by the Belgian government are effectively implemented.
He said he was shocked by images showing Israeli soldiers cold-bloodedly shooting two surrendering Palestinian civilians.
He said: “As Israel once again launches a major offensive in the north, I am also shocked by the images showing Israeli soldiers cold-bloodedly shooting two civilians who were surrendering.”
“This violence must stop. It must be investigated and met with strong measures. Such actions violate international law, risk weakening the implementation of the 20-point plan for Gaza, and seriously jeopardize the two-state solution.”
